Welcome to the garden!
The Garden of Life Oasis will transform a vacant lot in Coleman Park into a therapeutic community wellness space.
Through gardening, cooking demonstrations, healing circles, financial literacy workshops, and skill building activities, residents will access fresh produce, build connections, and restore resilience. This initiative reimagines wellness at the neighborhood level, creating a sustainable hub where food, healing, and hope flourish together for Palm Beach County families.
We have already obtained verbal interest from many other organizations to provide educate on composting, planting, food demonstrations: Let It Rot – Melissa, Trindy Gourmet – Trindy, FAU – Tavia Gordon, and others to make this space vibrant and full of activities that will transform the space to what will be know as the Garden of Life Oasis.
The purpose of transforming the empty lot is to provide the opportunity for the Coleman Park community to reunite, rebuild, and reestablish neighbor-to-neighbor relationships and a sense of community – being our brother and sister keepers like it once was before.
This space will address social determinants of health starting with the unhealthy options of food due to the food desert designation given the neighborhood. There will be a juicing station and educational opportunities to learn about the healing benefits of good nutrition from growth to the selection process.
The overall goal is to recreate a circle of support through community building.
Our first meeting will be April 4, 2026. More information to follow.
